Fort Sumter : 

Fort Sumter The Confederates start attacking Fort Sumter. This is the beginning of the Civil War. The South Carolina fort falls to the Confederates on April 13, 1861. Click here to return to the main menu.

New Orleans : 

New Orleans Farragut’s ships arrive in New Orleans. General Butler’s troops take over the city. It is the largest southern city and cotton center. Click here to return to the main menu.

Shiloh :

Antietam :

Vicksburg :

Chattanooga :

Sherman’s March :
