CLASSROOM PROCEDURES : CLASSROOM PROCEDURES ENTERING THE CLASSROOM : ENTERING THE CLASSROOM Please enter quietly Have a seat. Take out your materials. Review the bell work activity for the day. Begin bell work activity for the day. OBTAINING THE CLASSES ATTENTION : OBTAINING THE CLASSES ATTENTION I will ring the classroom bell 3 times. After the 3rd time, all students should be in their seats, be quiet, and be waiting for further instructions from your teacher. CLASS DISMISSAL : CLASS DISMISSAL The Teacher and the Teacher only will let you know when class time is over. You will be alerted to the appropriate time to pack your bag for the next class. You will be dismissed for that class by the Teacher when the class period is over. Please wait to leave until you have been instructed to do so. CLASSROOM GUIDELINES : CLASSROOM GUIDELINES Follow directions the 1st time they are given. Raise your hand if you wish to speak, leave your seat for any reason, or speak to another student for any reason. Bring all books and materials to class with you when you come and take all of them with you when you leave. Keep your hands, your feet, your body and your belongings to yourself. Each person in this classroom expects to be treated the way you want to be treated and that is with respect and self worth. 5. This classroom is a “No Whining Zone.” So, DO NOT WHINE and we will not have to put you Out Of Our Zone!! CONSEQUENCES : CONSEQUENCES Not following the Guidelines will result in the following consequences: A verbal warning. A written warning that both the student and teacher will sign. A second written warning that both student and teacher will sign in addition to student taking copy of written warning home to parents for their signature and for advice referral on student. 4. A call to parents concerning after school detention and work with teacher. 5. Disciplinary referral to administrative authority with all documentation sent with student. Slide 9: The classroom procedures & guidelines will be explained, rehearsed and reinforced. Each student and their parents will receive a set of these procedures and guidelines and will return a signature page to the teacher stating that they have seen and read the information. The signed statements by students and parents will be placed in the student’s classroom folder. Slide 10: I hope that all your days will be filled with fun and laughter and your time in my classroom will be extra special for you and a special and sunny spot that fills your heart with gladness.
