This sector has substantial contribution towards the development of country's trade and tourism, providing easier access to the areas full of natural beauty. The industry had witnessed a transformation with the entry of the privately owned full service airlines and low cost carriers.

Some details about the domestic airlines INDIGO AIRLINES: Indigo Airlines commenced operations on 4th august 2006 with a service from Delhi to Imphal via Guwahati. If you're looking to fly with a low cost airline, Indigo offers good value for money. It has 11% of market share. GO AIR AIRLINES: Go Air is a small privately owned, low cost airline that started operating in late 2005. It has almost a 5% market share. SPICEJET AIRLINES: Spicejet is a low-cost airline based in New delhi,India.It began service in May 2005. Earlier known as Royal Airways. Spicejet marked its entry in service with Rs-99 fares for the first 99 days and there were 9000 seats available at this rate . JETLITE AIRLINES : JetLite used to be Air Sahara until Jet Airways successfully took the company over in mid 2007. The low cost airline focuses on providing flights that connect India's capital cities and it has a 7% share of the market. KINGFISHER AIRLINES: Kingfisher Airlines is another highly regarded full service airline. It started operating in mid 2005 and has a 15% market share. JET AIRLINES: Jet Airways is widely regarded as India's biggest and best airline. It's a privately owned, full service airline that commenced operating in mid 1993. It's now captured almost 23% of the market.

India’s improving economy INDIA IS FAMOUS FOR TOURISM. THERE ARE MANY THINGS FOR SEEN LIKE HISTORICAL PLACES, INDIAN CULTURE, TEMPLES. SO MANY OF FOREIGN PEOPLE COME HERE AND SEE THESE PLACES AND BECAUSE OF DOMESTIC AIRLINE THEY CAN EASILY REACH IN DIFFERENT PLACES . AVIATION INDUSTRY ALSO HELP IN DEVELOPING INDIAN ECONOMY. IT THEREFORE ACTS AS A STIMULUS FOR COUNTRY’S GROWTH AND ECONOMIC PROSPERITY. INDIA IS ONE OF THE FASTEST GROWING AVIATION MARKETS IN THE WORLD.

FROM BEING PRIMARILY A GOVERNMENT-OWNED INDUSTRY, THE INDIAN AVIATION INDUSTRY IS NOW DOMINATED BY PRIVATELY OWNED FULL SERVICE AIRLINES AND LOW COST CARRIERS. PRIVATE AIRLINES ACCOUNT FOR AROUND 75 PERCENT SHARE OF THE DOMESTIC AVIATION MARKET

DISADVANTAGES A LOT OF AIRLINES ARE GOING BANKRUPT AT THE MOMENT BECAUSE THEIR FUEL COSTS ARE GOING UP, AND THEY HAVE FEWER CUSTOMERS BECAUSE PEOPLE HAVE LESS MONEY TO SPEND THESE DAYS. THERE HAVE ALSO BEEN A FEW MERGERS RECENTLY. THIS MEANS THAT THERE WILL BE LESS COMPETITION WHICH MEANS FLIGHT PRICES WILL GO UP. IT ALSO MEANS THAT THERE WON’T BE AS MANY FLIGHTS SO IT MIGHT BE MORE DIFFICULT TO GET TO YOUR DESTINATION AND THE EXITING FLIGHTS MIGHT BE REALLY BUSY.

With my hard work and dedication I will be a cabin crew in one of highly paid airlines. Though due to recession the aviation field has sank down but still after some time everything will be in its right position.
