Slide 1: 

Recently, the Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) school board voted to close two of their schools….Elmhurst High School and Pleasant Center Elementary. It was later learned that much of the data used to justify the school closings was either inaccurate, irrelevant, or just plain false! The total amount of the savings from the closings amounts to less that 1% of the school system’s annual budget. The board voted in favor of the closings, based on the recommendation of the FWCS superintendant, Wendy Robinson.

Slide 2: 

What you are about to hear is a recording that was mailed anonymously to the opponents of FWCS school closings. It is about 4 minutes in length.. It appears to be a recording made of a meeting between Dr. Robinson and her school principals from early 2010. The author of this video can not authenticate the identity of the speaker, however the audio is presented to you, unedited, so that you can reach your own conclusions. The accompanying headlines were added by me to provide context to the speaker’s words.
