FROM THE N.C.E. WORKPLAN AT SOMERSET COMMUNITY COLLEGE… GOAL To develop a cultural-tourism community development project around Harriette Simpson Arnow, a nationally recognized novelist. OBJECTIVES The Somerset Community College District will create a historical character presentation of Harriette Simpson Arnow. The district will contract with a local writer to create a three-act play based upon “The Dollmaker”, Arnow’s most famous work. The district will seek additional grant funding to expand the Arnow project. The district will present at least six local artistic performances related to creating new cultural-tourism opportunities with our service area.
