You have to believe it, to see it The belief in the mind is the foundation for turning our dreams into reality.. Slide 3: Walt Disney had a dream for theme park Dreams that changed the world Mahatma Gandhi had a dream for India’s independence Bill Gates had a dream to power computers in every home Nelson Mandela had a dream for liberating South Africa Henry Ford had a dream to revolutionise automobiles Slide 4: Power of our mind Every good thing we see around us today, started as a dream in one man’s head, pursued with unshakeable belief that it is going to become a reality one day… What we are today is the result of our past thinking. What we will be tomorrow, is the result of our thinking today. Mind is force, energy and power. Matter is powerless, passive and inert. Nothing exists till the mind has created it. Mind shapes and controls matter. Slide 5: In this world, only a tiny fraction of people realise their dreams. A vast majority fail to achieve their dreams or stop dreaming. Why do the majority fail to realise their dreams? Is it IQ ? Money? Luck? Education? Experience? So what is it? Here is the startling fact.. Slide 6: For the rocket to take off, 1. Anchors need to go 2. Engines need to be fired. Slide 7: We are unintentionally programmed to be mediocre, from our childhood. We are told to behave like “ordinary kids” We are conditioned not to take great risks We are brought up to think with middle class mentality We are made to think that daring to dream, raring to go places and achieving extra ordinary success are not for us Anchor 1: Programmed for mediocrity Slide 8: 80% College graduates earn a degree in a field other than what they would have really preferred 90% of people land up in a job unfulfilled, not because they want it, but because that’s what they have got under the circumstances, with their background, experience and skills. Good fear is protective. Bad fear comes in the way of doing what is right. Often our fears are magnified in our minds. We fear about things before they happen. Failure is an event in which you did not achieve the desired outcome. Failure is not fatal and success is never final. Anchor 2: Fear of failure Slide 11: The best way to avoid failure is to avoid risk. The only way to avoid risk is to attempt those which you are 100% sure of achieving. Losers treat failures as stumbling blocks. Winners treat failures as stepping stones. How to avoid failure Slide 13: Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
