The PA, Fatah, and Hamas : 

The PA, Fatah, and Hamas IF Israel plans a Palestinian state that is really a Bantustan, THEN Palestinians will resist and make it impossible. IF Israel can’t defeat Palestinian resistance through force, THEN Israel needs a Palestinian leadership to enable the plan. IF a Palestinian leadership is to play a quisling role, THEN Israel must protect that leadership from Palestinian opposition. IF Israel must protect the leadership from opposition, THEN Israel cannot allow real elections or even public debate that could articulate that opposition. THEREFORE: Isolating Hamas is essential to Israel’s autonomy/Bantustan plan; Isolating Hamas means Palestinian elections can never be held; The PA will never again be legal on its own terms (Basic Law). Treating the PA like the legitimate government of Palestine is part of the fraud.

Are ‘unity talks’ sincere? : 

Are ‘unity talks’ sincere? IF the PA’s diplomatic corps serves Israel’s agenda. And Israel’s agenda is to maintain the split between Hamas and Fatah. And Israel’s method is to isolate and discredit Hamas as a radical and/or ‘terrorist organisation’ And the PA ambassador is contractually bound to represent the position of the PA. AND the PA ambassador must help to isolate and discredit Hamas. THEN the PA ambassador must seeks to divide the SA solidarity movement. IF the US follows Israel’s lead. THEN the US agenda is to maintain the split between Hamas and Fatah. And the US will use every resource at its disposal to do this. IF Egypt is a US client state and does what the US tells it to. AND Egypt has its own reasons to suppress Islamic movements. THEN Egypt has no choice but to isolate and discredit Hamas. IF everyone knows that ‘peace’ is not possible without Palestinian unity. AND the international community will not cooperate with the ‘peace process’ if it looks too absurd. THEN ‘Unity talks’ hosted by Egypt are a cover for the Israeli/US strategy to maintain ‘negotiations’ that serve to cover creation of a Palestinian autonomy zone. CONCLUSION: ‘Unity talks’ are a fraud.

Can Israel allow a real Palestinian state? : 

Can Israel allow a real Palestinian state? IF a Palestinian state requires open borders to develop, THEN Israel has to provide open borders. IF Israel opens the borders, THEN ethnic mixing would break down barriers and threaten the Jewish national majority and its exclusivist logics. THEREFORE Israel cannot open the borders and remain a ‘Jewish & democratic’ state. IF Israel does not open the borders, THEN development in the Palestinian state will be crippled. IF Palestinians resist crippling limitations resulting from closed borders, THEN Israel cannot give up control over security in Palestinian areas. IF Israel can’t hand over full security, THEN Israel can’t give the Palestinian state real sovereignty. THEREFORE Israel cannot allow the Palestinians to have a real state.

Why Israel’s plan means endless war IF Israel must remain majority Jewish, THEN Israel must maintain absolute control over ethnic demography in the territory. IF Israel must oppress Palestinians to secure a Jewish majority, THEN Palestinians will continue to resist. IF Palestinian resistance continues while occupation continues, THEN surrounding states will remain platforms for supporting and supplying Palestinian resistance . IF Israel wants to suffocate Palestinian resistance, THEN Israel must suffocate the frontline-state platforms. If Israel wants to defeat the support network, Israel must eliminate Iran’s capacity to support the network. If Israel attacks Iran, THEN Israel will be attacked from the frontline states. THEREFORE Israel will wage wars and attacks on frontline states as long as Israel is a Jewish state.

The purpose of the PA : 

The purpose of the PA IF Israel cannot suffocate Palestinian resistance by force, THEN Israel needs the Palestinian leadership to help suffocate it. IF Palestinian leaders sell out Palestinian rights, THEN they will be eliminated as leaders. IF Israel needs the Palestinian leadership to negate Palestinian rights anyway, THEN Israel must provide an alternative that convinces people that those rights will be provided differently. If Palestinians get true rights in a separate sovereign state, THEN Israel will lose its prerogative to control the situation. THEREFORE the PA is Israel’s tool to ensure that Palestinians do not get true political rights.

Retaining ultimate control over the entire West Bank is a policy embedded throughout the design and institutional culture of all of Israel’s governing Institutions. It’s based on a combination of Military Strategy Water Strategy Economic Interests Religious Ideology Holocaust Mentality The Imperative of Jewish National Unity

Will Israel’s policy change? : 

Will Israel’s policy change? Israel bases the legitimacy of Jewish statehood on a narrative of Jewish unity as a people. Jews are in fact greatly divided about what it means to be Jewish. Israel was founded on a strategic pact among religious and secular Jews through a power-sharing arrangement. Israel cannot claim to be the state of the Jewish people if major Jewish sectors of this pact cease to identify with it. Withdrawing from the West Bank would cause about 15% of Jews to disclaim the Israeli state. Israel is a parliamentary democracy, and no Israeli government can survive that upheaval. The very foundations of Israel’s national claim would unravel under these conditions. No Israeli government can or will imperil the fragile ideological unity that underpins the Jewish state. CONCLUSION: No Israel government can change the policy. It will change only when it becomes unsustainable, as in South Africa.

Palestinian rights require defeating Jewish statehood: return of refugees and equal rights in Israel require dismantling apartheid doctrines, institutions, laws and practices.

CHALLENGE South Africans to fulfil their own legacy by opposing apartheid in Israel-Palestine. REACH OUT to the world by creating a Speaker’s Bureau of anti-apartheid veterans who can speak abroad.

LINK BDS actions to big issues crucial to Israel, such as clearly opposing Israel’s bid for OECD membership. TARGET products crucial to Israel, such as military and trade deals, El Al access to airports and other big-ticket items. CHALLENGE people’s belief that a unified state is impossible by citing the South Africa experience that once seemed the same.
