In August 2008, National Security Advisor M K Narayanan has said that there are as many as 800 terrorist cells operating in the country . NIJAAT endeavors to… to liberate the masses from factors that nurture the growth of terrorism and create a breeding ground for terrorists. Factors like social injustice, communal discord, illiteracy, poverty, unemployment, illness and all other factors which either directly or indirectly affects the people on such a deep level that they become prone to the ideology & beliefs of terror recruitment agencies and outfits. to wipe out the menace of terrorism from its roots we need to start by eradicating its causes. to educate, inspire & galvanize the people to act in an educated & coordinated manner to fight terrorism.
