Urethra : 

Urethra Prostatic urethra, lining epithelium is transitional. Remainder of the urethra, it changes to a stratified or pseudostratified columnar epithelium with patches of stratified squamous epithelium, particularly in penile urethra. At terminal dilation of penile urethra, in the fossa navicularis, epithelium is St. Sq. in type.

Urethra : 

Urethra Female Urethra. Much shorter than in male, being only 3 to 4 cm long. Just distal to bladder is transitional epith. Mucosa lies in longitudinal folds and has a lining epithelium that is stratified squamous in type, with patches of pseudostratified or stratified col. epithelium
