Get Your Rest :

Get Your Rest First and foremost get in on your own “time of rest” – A break from the demands of every day life, the 24-hour Sabbath day provides valuable time be with family, friends, God, and nature. Seventh-day Adventists believe this time relieves distress, strengthens social networks, and provides peace of mind. Many religions of the world have already discovered that this is a “Blue Zone” necessity.

Go “Green” :

Go “Green” De-convenience the home – and put in ‘Green’ conveniences. Get out into the yard or field and lift with a dolly or use a shovel. Going “Green” is the best and wisest choice to make in this day and age for the promotion of health in the home and in the neighbourhood or community.

Longevity Foods :

Longevity Foods Eat only foods that promote a longer life expectancy and lowering distress levels. Organic, raw, plant based foods should be made available to all generations of citizens-from newborn to the most advanced of seniors. The more health foods that are subsidized for the sake of good health and economic stability, the better.

A healthy environment based on ‘clean energy’ may encourage walking in to work, school, religious organisations, and businesses in the communities Simple walking is an exercise that has shown positive results in cardiovascular health, while also improving muscles, bones, and metabolism without adverse distress on joints.

Healthy Sex “Blue Zone” people like all people ages 25 to 84, with an active sex life lead healthier and longer lives. Sexual activity, quality of sex life, and interest in sex are positively associated with good health. People middle age and later in life who are equallyoked may report good physical health more so than the unequallyoked or ‘sex perverts’ who report so called, ‘good’ sex.

Psychosocial Health :

Psychosocial Health By putting “Family First”, strong family values can be implemented. This ensures that each family member is cared for according to their psychosocial stage of development. It also has promotes individuals carrying on the same family values i.e., growing another generation of strong, healthy families with reduced possibility of depression, suicide and distress.

This is an excellent low intensity exercise and will strengthen family relationships; both are associated with a “Blue Zone” and longer life expectancy. Begin to prepare them for ‘health minded’ or “health-conscious” citizenry.

Gardening provides a source of daily activity that exercises the body with a wide range of physical motion, while also imparting emotional benefits by the reduction of distress-while supplying fresh vegetables.
