Slide 3:

My Family Tree My Dad’s mom, Sharon Davis married/divorced about 5 or 6 different men, so really my dad legally had/has 11 brothers and sisters. I only mentioned Cindi because they share the same dad. The only other two I would mention are the twins Mark and Tracey who have the same mom as my dad. Anyway, both Cindi and Cindy on either side divorced their husbands (that’s why they aren’t written).

My oldest living relative is my grandpa: Samuel Francis Wilhelm :

My oldest living relative is my grandpa: Samuel Francis Wilhelm 1. Did you have any health problems when you were a kid? Just normal stuff, measles, mumps, and chicken pox, but nothing serious. 2. Was anyone your mom’s side also deaf? She had four other siblings, all deaf. 4. Was anyone on your father’s side also deaf? All his siblings were hearing. 5. How My family came to America :

How My family came to America On my mom’s side of the family, it’s a pretty direct root of origin. My grandma is from Japan and came over with my grandpa in the navy the year 1953. My grandpa can trace his lineage directly back to Germany (and then a little bit of French is in there too). My dad’s side is not at all easy to navigate origins from. My grandma says we have some American Indian descent as well as Irish, Polish, German, and French (pretty much European). But there’s no direct lineage except from the Native American, which is still a pretty distant line (I call myself an American Mutt on that side of the family when talking about lineage). In any case, both my great grandparents lived in the U.S. their whole lives (except my grandma on my mom’s side of course, since she’s from Japan) so the actual coming to America of my family happened a long time ago.

Family’s health history :

Family’s health history My family, especially on my mom’s side has a history of heart and bone problems. Hopefully I can help prevent these things now. I’ll need to watch what I eat, my blood pressure, cholesterol, and calcium in take. There’s also a history of diabetes and cataracts that I’ll need to watch out for too. On my dad’s side there isn’t really anything except (according to my grandma) that we have negative reactions to alcohol (which is already problem solved because I’ve already decided I’ll never drink or do drugs ).

Fitness Data and Nutrition :

Fitness Data and Nutrition Fitness Testing Age Gender Mile Curl up Trunk Lift Push ups Sit&Reach 16 G 8-10 18-35 9-12 7-15 12 17 G 7:54 35+ 12 15+ 12 pass pass pass pass pass I spend WAY TOO much time on the computer… though the whole online health class doesn’t help  Also studying… I should narrow things down, I go way too far into detail sometimes and could settle for less.

Emotional Health :

Emotional Health Hobbies/talents/sports: Art: drawing/Painting Reading: Harry Potter, InuYasha, The Hunger Games, Bloody Jack, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Robin Hood, Peter Pan, Interview with the Vampire, Blood and Chocolate, TheOutsiders, Chocolat, Eragon, Phantom of the Opera, etc. Soccer: “The greatest feeling in the world is when you’re on that soccer field, and you know that your team is going to succeed because you look around and see your 10 best friends playing beside you.” My only pet is my dearest dggy,Jett He’s a Golden Retriever and Sharpei mix  2002- Utah and Yosemite with Dad’s cousins and family 2004-Lake Tahoe/Sacramento/San Francisco with the family, Uncle Randy and his family then with Aunt Cindy/Ben and Aunt Tracey in S.F. 2006-New York/Boston/Maine with the family and Aunt Cindy/Ben** favorite! I love central park and seafood and the city and central park and all the forests in Boston and Maine, it was gorgeous and SO much fun! 2008-Cruise to Mexico’s Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan with the family These are a few of my favorite things!

Social Health :

Social Health My closest friends would have to be Taylor Franklin, Genie Reyes, Joceyln Lopez, Marie Karkehabadi, Helen Tael, and Golden Owens Schools attended (preschool through current): Children’s World Learning Center (preschool), Adobe Bluffs Elementary (kindergarten), Rolling Hills Elementary (1-5), Bernardo Heights Middle School (6th), Oak Valley Middle School (7-8), Rancho Bernardo High School (9-current)  HARRY POTTER CLUB (I’m planning on being president next year!) and the ever-fun Drama Club 

Slide 10:

My Social health is pretty weak. I’m very quiet, especially the first couple weeks in a class. I’m very judgmental so I like to listen and watch people before I start talking to them, I guess I think I’ll be able to talk to them better If I can see what they like first and without having to talk to them to find out (that would be an at-risk situation for me, I might embarrass myself). My physical health is perfect (though I do have bad posture, it’s just a bad habit) I’m in excellent shape and it helps my social health a lot, playing sports with a team and meeting new people all the time. It also helps with confidence. My emotional health is pretty strong, I’m very artsy and fantasize a lot. I put a lot of standards up and I think it’s cause I believe so much in human potential and that “achieve the impossible” thing, I think that also maybe why I’m so judgmental. I believe human’s can do things for themselves and believe in independence, I don’t really like complainers (that’s not a rule, just in general) but I do have a lot of patience (when I’m not stressed ). The excess in emotional health kind of detracts from the social health, but the physical health really helps the social health. I see why it’s a triangle, they’re all inter-related.

Full Moon, by The Black GhostsWhen the thorn bush turns white that's when I'll come homeI am going out to see what I can sowAnd I don't know where I'll goAnd I don't know what I'll seeBut I'll try not to bring it back home with meLike the morning sun your eyes will follow meAs you watch me wander, curse the powers that beCause all I want is here and now but it's already been and goneOur intentions always last that bit too longFar far away, no voices sounding, no one around me andYou're still thereFar far away, no choices passing, no time confounds me and you're still thereIn the full moons light I listen to the streamAnd in between the silence hear you calling meBut I don't know where I am and I don't trust who I've beenAnd If I come home how will I ever leave :

I guess I felt compelled to pick this song… of course others popped into my head, this was not my first choice, my first choice was Coldplay’s Clocks which is a song I always listen to without fail. But I realized what I like about Coldplay is the mood it gets me in, but there are other songs that get me into other moods I like just as equally. But this song has a little bit of everything, I feel a little bit of every mood I get a full dose of from other songs. It’s not really the lyrics that I can relate to (as I said, I hadn’t ever looked at the lyrics until just now), but the general mood I get from the song, the beat, the melody, the acoustics, the overall mood is what I relate to. I guess I’m more of a right brainer, it’s not the details, but the general idea I get from it. Anyway, what I feel with this song… it’s very indie I think, and it reminds me of holding on to things and remembering, but also of accepting and not getting lost. Whenever I listen to this, I always imagine I’m in a woods running. I’m not running away and I’m not going anywhere in particular and sometimes the moon is out or the sun is shining and I’m totally happy. It’s a feeling of content for where I’m at. I can remember and love things from my past but at this present moment, I’m happy too. This song’s also connected to a memory with my friends. This song is from a soundtrack…the Twilight soundtrack . Me and my friends are original Twilight fans and I even bought this CD with them at a some midnight release. We went to all the midnight premieres together and had tons of fun every time! So this song includes automatic flashbacks to midnight premieres and Twilight fandom with friends. One thing I LOVE in this song is the piano and cello… I think it’s gorgeous and adds a touch of elegant classiness to it that makes it better than any normal electro/alternative work and its also a fast pace with acoustic guitar that’s kind of fun and laid back.

This is my self portrait, yes I did paint this awhile ago for my art class but I still love it and wanted to use it again here  this would be titled,Me and My Roommates. :

Slide 16:

Dear Ethiopia, You’re my little brother and I see you every day. I know days are pretty routine and school can be boring and life can suck and I may seem like Grouch from sesame street sometimes (especially when I forget to wake up in the morning, as you know), but I’m actually really glad to be your sis . You have such a low tolerance level, it’s like a gift! Whenever I’m in a bad mood or having a bad day I tend to dump on you and you “take it like a man” and really keep up your good attitude. I think you should know how much I appreciate you keeping your head up high and never letting me bring you down. I know as older sis it’s an unspoken law that I have to pester you and you have to bug me (good ‘ol sibling rivalries) but I think you’ve got some superman blood in you cause no matter what I throw at you, you can laugh at it and smile, and I’m glad you can do that. You’re positive attitude is a wonderful thing and makes you a great person, and the best lil brother in the entire world. I wouldn’t trade you for anybody, not even Johnny Depp. Love you Bro, Kendra

In 10 years… :

In 10 years… In 10 years I’ll be 27. I’ll have gone to college and gotten an MFA and a BA in communication design and a BA in either Art History or graphic design. So I could work in museums or in the gaming imdustry. What I’d like to be is maybe an Art Department Production Assistant or Story Board Artist, maybe a Junior Designer, but SOMETHING in the art industry. I would love to be working for Disney and designing things for them, or maybe under a famous director like James Cameron orLucasor Spielberg. Even gaming would be way cool. I know I’ll try a little freelance art (I’ll have to if I want to live on a decent income) maybe doing illustrations for children’s books and commissions. I don’t know if I’ll be living near home or not, I think I’d like to be living near home somehow, but also traveling.

Slide 18:

If I could accomplish just one thing in my life, it would bea mission trip to every place ever mentioned in the Bible (Israel, Egypt, Rome, etc).

Media Awareness :

Media Awareness Media as in, commercial media has very little effect on me. I hardly ever watch T.V. so I’m not bombarded every 5 minutes with corrupted images and false advertisements. And when I say false I mean ethically untrue to me. Of course I do play video games and watch plenty of movies, and in that way the media does effects me. I remember watching Twilight and me already liking Bella’s book character, liked her clothes and started looking for grungy yellow jackets. Hahaha, I guess it’s not the same as what the big problem is, seeing super skinny women and thinking I have to be like that. I’ve never had that. When I watch a movie, of course I get influenced by it, and especially inspired if it’s a good movie. I’ll go through phases where I get obsessed over a new movie I thought was really good and try to dress or act in whatever way that movie impressed me. For instance, after seeing Star Trek, I was obsessed with space. The next school project we had I picked Apollo 17 as my topic because it reminded me of Star Trek. I started buying electro music and watching original Star Trek episodes. I don’t know if anybody outside my head noticed this, but I was really into it. In reality, after the phases, I remembered I hate space travel and think it would be one of my worst nightmares. I knew this when I was “obsessed” with Star Trek, I just wanted it to be real, that world they live in. I don’t think I have a very extreme case here, I do sometimes buy clothes based on movies but I’ve never regretted it. And I know when I’m going through a phase, I think it’s just that I get inspired by the media.
