Slide 2: In 1860, Denver was a fledgling frontier town situated on the confluence of the Platte and Cherry Creek. The Gold Rush was on. Abraham Lincoln was running for President. 1860 – 2010 Slide 3: In 1860, a log house at Lawrence and Eighth served as the first site for the hospital.
