What is elm? : 

What is elm? elm stands for “electronic learning management” The Learning Management System used at ImClone! 3

The elm system: Delivers consistent and standard assignment of training to employees Provides training records that meet FDA and Regulatory requirements Facilitates compliance reporting for training requirements Allows employees to view, access, request, and complete required and optional training assignments Permits managers to access, view, and run reports on employee training records Is environmentally considerate – elm is paperless! 4

Log into elm : 

Log into elm Logging into and out of elm is similar to any other software requiring a login. Click on the Internet Explorer icon and select Favorites. Select the ImClone Links folder and click on the elm link. 10

Log into elm Your elm User ID and password are identical to your Windows User ID and password. 11

Log into elm When you have entered both the correct ID and password, click the Sign In button to log into elm. Enter your ID and password carefully, 5 unsuccessful login attempts will result in being locked out of Active Directory Contact the IT Help Desk for AD resets (X6900) 12

Helpful Hints 16 REQUIRED BY DATES When new or revised SOPs or Documents are added to your Learning Plan, the “Required By” date defaults to 60 Days in elm. “Required By” date is NOT tied to the document’s Effective Date Complete the required training by the document’s Effective Date or by the date you execute the procedure CATALOG SEARCHES You can browse and select optional eCourses in the catalog, your manager’s approval is not required, but informing your manager of which course you are opting to take is a good business practice. You must complete the course within 60 days or the course will show as “overdue”

Helpful Hints 17 Having technical issues with elm? Contact the IT Helpdesk (x6900) Having training issues with elm? Contact OLAD (x6523) (xOLAD) Mandatory courses for all ImClone employees will be automatically deposited into your elm account You will receive an e-mail notification when new training requirements are added to your Learning Plan in elm You should not only rely on e-mail notifications for elm related training. Plan to log into elm everyday just as you would your MS Outlook account.

DOs Use elm to access and/or record all your assigned training (examples): R&U and 4PH for SOPs eCourses Group Training One-on-one Training DON’Ts Sign paper R&U and 4PH Training Forms as a Trainee For classroom training, you may be asked to sign a Group Training Form ImClone is in the middle of rolling out elm. Some people are still signing off training on paper forms. The only time a new hire would sign a form is in an OLAD-sponsored or EHS-sponsored classroom training. New Hires will automatically receive classroom credit because OLAD will process the credits behind the scenes. The new hires will not get any paper forms from OLAD. Please refer Questions specific to your Department to your manager or Dept LMS Admin! 18

Please log onto your computer and access elm Everyone, please access your elm Learning Plan to: Take the elm Trainee Course (ELM1001) – 1 Hour If you are a Manager: Go on to take the elm Manager Course (ELM1002) – 30 minutes Once finished with the elm training, please continue through the courses in the order according to the elm ELEARN requirements worksheet We are here to help you, please raise your hand with questions!
