Premium member Presentation Transcript Energy Anatomy and Understanding the Chakras : Energy Anatomy and Understanding the Chakras Bonnie Berk, RN, MS, RYT Energy : Energy The universe is made up of many different types of energy; Heat and light are two fundamental energies to support life; The food we eat has energy that we convert into life force; Every thought and action is a form of energy and everything we come into contact with in our daily lives has an influence on us. Perceiving Energy : Perceiving Energy We don’t have to see it to perceive it! Microwaves, radio waves, radiation, sun Everyone is instinctively able to perceive subtle energies without thinking about it Positive vs negative people, Energy felt in places and things. Energy Systems of the Body : Energy Systems of the Body Anaerobic (Without oxygen) Aerobic (With oxygen) Mind Energy : Mind Energy All thoughts and brain waves are vibrating energy; Our brain wave patterns change according to which part of our minds we are accessing; All brain waves are measured in hertz (Hz) Mind Energy : Mind Energy Beta waves: Normal waking state between 14 and 21 Hz. When anxious, can rise as high as 34 Hz; Alpha waves: Occur during daydreaming, meditating or in a creative state of mind. Vibration is 8-13 Hz. Mind Energy : Mind Energy Theta waves: Occur in states of deep meditation, hypnosis, and sleep. Mind becomes open to suggestions. Vibration is 4-7 Hz; Delta waves: Occurs during deep sleep and deep meditation at vibration of 0.5- 4Hz. Mind Energy : Mind Energy The mind plays a vital role in the maintaining of health, happiness and fulfillment. So often we use our minds to waste energy by dwelling on unhealthy thinking patterns that put us at dis-ease. Taoist philosophers talk of three mind states: no mind, one mind and clear mind. Mind Energy : Mind Energy No Mind State Any thinking that is counterproductive; Negative emotions; Dwelling on past regrets or possible future scenarios; Unhealthy, depletes our energy. Mind Energy : Mind Energy One Mind State Obsessive thinking that is singular and subjective; Following restrictive practices over a long period of time; Unhealthy, depletes our energy. Mind Energy : Mind Energy Clear-mind State Type of thinking we should all strive for; Not swayed by emotions; Accepting everything that comes into your life, good, bad or indifferent and learns from it; Being present, in the moment; Non-judging Chakras : Chakras Chakras are energy centers in and around the body that can be likened to swirling vortices or whirlpools of energy. The word “chakra” means “wheel”. Their function is to vitalize the physical body, to bring about the development of our self-consciousness, and are associated with our physical, mental and emotional interactions. The Seven Major Chakras : The Seven Major Chakras Crown Chakra - associated with the color Violet. Governs Upper Brain, Right Eye, Pineal Gland – center of spirituality and enlightenment. Third Eye Chakra - associated with the color Indigo. Governs Lower Brain, Left Eye, Ears, Nose, Nervous System, Pituitary Gland – center of intuition. The Seven Major Chakras : The Seven Major Chakras Throat Chakra - associated with the color Blue. Governs Bronchial and Vocal Apparatus, Lungs, Thyroid Gland – center of communication and expression. Heart Chakra - associated with the color Green. Governs Heart, Blood, Circulatory System, Thymus Gland – Center of love The Seven Major Chakras : The Seven Major Chakras Solar Plexus Chakra - associated with the color Yellow. Governs Stomach, Liver, Gall Bladder, Nervous System, Adrenal Glands – Center of personal power and ambition. Sacral Chakra - associated with the color Orange. Governs Reproductive Systems, Lower digestive tract – Center of creativity and sexuality. Base or Root Chakra - associated with the color Red. Governs Spine and Kidneys, Suprarenal Glands – Center of physical strength, determination and courage. Precious Energy : Precious Energy You are not born with an unlimited supply of energy. Your life force is finite and the manner in which you live your life has a direct effect on its state. There are many things you can do to save and accumulate this precious energy.
