Teaching Philosophy :

Teaching Philosophy The classroom community is a place where there is cultivation of trusting relationships along with intellectual and personal growth. It is the responsibility of the teacher to foster this type of community through the utilization of energizers, team/class builders, and cooperative learning. To be successful, educators must start this community building during the first week of school, creating a feeling of comfort and synergy among students. Classroom management is important in creating a consistent positive climate within the learning environment. Classroom management should involve a democratic and student-centered approach, where the educator allows “student voice” in the development of routines, procedures, and other institutional functions. When students know they are accepted and their opinions matter, they are more apt to self manage, as opposed to being managed, and are willing to be held accountable for their actions. Instructional strategies are student-centered and prepare every students to achieve higher standards. Effective teachers incorporate multiple intelligence, differentiated learning, and cooperative learning strategies in every lesson. Effective teachers understand the importance of parent and community involvement in a child’s academic and social development. Teachers involve parents in community by inviting them to participate in class and school projects and student-led conferences. Teachers are life-long learners. Teachers should always strive to become the best at their profession. Educators must stay informed and aware of trends, innovations, and other changes that affect student learning.

Middle Level Concept :

Middle Level Concept An effective middle school program is designed around the unique developmental needs of early adolescents (11-14 year olds). Because the intellectual, social, physical, and emotional needs of this age group are different from either elementary or high school students, a customized educational program is necessary. The middle school is a bridge between elementary school and high school. It is not an exaggerated elementary school nor a miniature high school, but a blend of the two.
