ABOUT ME My name is Tarek Akaweih. I am a full time student at the University of Houston and my major is Graphic Designing. I also work part time in the Galleria. I am half Syrian half white and I love to travel. I also am a model/ actor and plan on making it BIG one day. I have two brothers and two sisters. I am a hard worker and try to do everything 100%. FINANCIAL STEPS : 

FINANCIAL STEPS It is very important to think about the future and what steps a person needs to take to secure their financial security. It seems hard in these economic times but there are ways to make sure that financial stability will be there in their future. The following are six steps that will help get on the right track for financial stability. Determine your short and long-term financial goals. Analyze your assets, net income, debts and living expenses. 7 Tarek Akaweih

After you have assessed where you are now and where you want to be in the future, take steps to make sure that you get there and that you will be able to stay in that category. Pay yourself first. Save at least 10% of pre-tax income. Pay off your home mortgage first. Try to save money in a savings account. When working for a company, try to take as much money out of your check and put it in a 401K fund at the beginning of the year. 8 Tarek Akaweih

Make sure you are covered for serious illness, accidents or death. Make sure that you are insured against these losses and loss of income and physical assets. Pay off credit cards before they add any interest. Avoid using credit cards for cash advances. 9 Tarek Akaweih

SETTING GOALS : 

SETTING GOALS Once this has been done the person can start setting your goals. Decide how long the person wants to work and when they will retire. Also decide how much money they will need per year and any big expenses they anticipate to have in the coming years. Try to pay everything for cash and not depend on credit cards. There will be times that a person will want to use a credit card but try to resist the temptation. If money is needed, try to get a person loan with a bank or credit union rather than use a credit card. Using the credit card for advances will make the interest rate higher for paying it back. 10 Tarek Akaweih

It is also very wise to protect the family in the event of their death. Be sure to make a will . If a person does not have a will the courts will decide who gets what and it will cost money for someone else to decide. These are all good ways to financially secure the future and protect the loved ones for years to come. Protection is always good in the event of a death or catastrophe. Being prepared in other ways is good and families will have everything that they need if something does happen. People have been prepared for hurricanes and financial security should be no different. 11 Tarek Akaweih

When a person retires they out live their resources and the money runs out. It takes a lot of planning and adjustments where money is concerned. It is not difficult to follow these practices and a financial planner is also recommended so that funds are properly protected. The welfare of the family is at stake and it is always better to make these arrangements when the person is in good health and able to make their own decisions, rather than when they are older and not in their right mind. This financial plan benefits everyone and it makes the person at ease knowing that everything it taken care of and handled like they wanted.
