What is a learning style? : What is a learning style? You may notice that when you are trying to learn something new, that you, along with everyone else have different ways you prefer to learn. These different ways are unique to you and are what makes learning easier. These are your learning styles. Not everyone has just one certain learning style. Some people acquire more than one on their own preferred learning technique. -(Paul Treuer, 2006) What is Sensing Learning? : What is Sensing Learning? Sensing Learners are the people who are more focused on the physical environment and in the external world. These learners are also the people that tend to depend on the information that they have learned through experience. -(Jung’s Theory of Personality) Slide 4: Sensing Learners often tend to be realistic and practical and they usually prefer to learn in order or in a routine. They are also known to adapt to change very quickly and easier than other types of learners. -(Jung’s Theory of Personality) Some Characteristics of a Sensor Learner. More Characteristics.. : More Characteristics.. They often focus on the present. Are practical and reasonable. The tend to utilize experiences and common sense to solve problems. According to Learning Styles based on Jung’s Theory of Personality approximately 65% of learners have a sensing learning style. It has been said that sensor learners learn information better and remember it easier if they can see how it connects to the real world.
