cartoons in the 80’s: analysis :cartoons in the 80’s: analysis Cartoons in the 80’s were crazy
Most of them involved either super-powered heroes, or robots and people working together to save the world or the universe
There was a lot more action in 80’s cartoons than previously shown on animated shows
Right now, a lot of popular 80’s cartoons are being made into movies, thanks to the success of Transformers. That includes shows like Voltron and Thundercats.
Slide 9:Thundercats come from the planet Thundera.
They are the last survivors of their race
Their leader, Jaga died on their journey to Third Earth, and their ship crashed there.
The Thundercats built a fortress, and Mumm-Ra, the ancient embodiment of evil, along with the mutants that destroyed the rest of their race are a constant threat.
Lion-O, the new leader of the Thundercats,
and his weapon the "Sword of Omens" gives
the Thundercats a chance at surviving and
beating all the crazy villains they fight.
The Thundercats have a pet who is a less
human cat creature named Snarf. Snarf is
always worried and says his name a lot.

analysis: cartoons in the 90’s :analysis: cartoons in the 90’s Shows in the 90’s instead of showing more action, showed weirder situations and characters
Even the cartoons aimed at children were more popular with adults or young adults because the humor was so much weirder
Many of the 90’s shows became cult classics instead of gaining mainstream popularity, which created the first counter-culture influenced by cartoons.
CARTOONS OVER THE DECADES :CARTOONS OVER THE DECADES IN THE 70’S: cartoons focused on fantastic characters and mysteries solved within the episode. mainstream music and culture influenced these cartoons.
IN THE 80’S: cartoons showed more action and like the 70’s, included super-powered heroes and heroines. mainstream culture still affected these cartoons, but they were still weirder than the previous decade
IN THE 90’S: cartoons focused less on super-heroes and robots, and more on just ridiculous characters and settings. cartoons more often became cult classics instead of popular shows.
