Slide 1:In my questionnaire I asked 10 questions in this analysis I have analyzed five of these questions. These are the questions that helped me decide most what genre I was going to do where to distribute it what to involve in the trailer and what audience to aim my trailer at. questionnaire analysis

Slide 2:When making my questionnaire I proposed I would include various ages and genders. This would mean that I would get a fair idea of what everyone would enjoy. When carrying out my research I found a lot of differences between male and females not only in their preferred genre but also with what gratifications they achieve from films. With this question it was made clear to me that different genres will enjoy different types of film. Males will prefer comedy action and thriller whilst females prefer romance and comedy. I have analyzed all of the results and ensured that I know what audience I am aiming at for my film and what I will need to include to intrigue my audience. These are: hooks to grab my audiences attention. Lots of interesting shot types. Exciting complex characters. Characters that my audience can relate to. Preferred Genre- Male/Female

Slide 3:Romance Horror Expectations of genre- romance/horror After doing this questionnaire I realised I would prefer to do a Romantic Comedy/drama. However in this question I asked the expectations of different genres. In romantic films people mainly look out for humour and love. This was clear to me already but I also now know what type of humour my audience would prefer. Also the usual of a happy ending and red lettering was involved in this answer this is typical of romance film. I also asked this question for horror. Most people would expect a fast paced film with dark humour involved this is a different type of humour to what they would expect in a romance. I used this question to compare romance to a complete opposite so that I could know what different demographics would think.

Slide 4:Reason for watching-most/least least Most I asked my audience why they were most likely to watch a film and why they were least likely to watch a film based on: opinions from other; directly told by media and individual circumstance. The least likely reason was to be told by the media this shows to me that I would have to use opinions from other people. This would mean using the “word of mouth” technique to generate interest in my film. This is a good way of distributing as I would get a wider audience. The most likely reasons to watch a film was individual circumstances this would relate to things such as being able to relate to characters. This is important in a film as tit helps the audience to feel what the character on screen is feeling. Also opinions from others was a big part of the answer this shows that people listen to other people before considering watching a movie.

Slide 5:Pleasures of watching When asking this question I got various answer although the main three answers were: suspense, laughter and good actors and actresses. These three were the most important pleasures when watching a film. I know I will have to include these in my film in order for people to enjoy it. When doing my trailer production I know people like films where famous actors/actresses are involved as this draws them into the film also some people enjoy knowing that certain directors have produced films. I know that I will have to make some bits of my trailer funny in order to hook people to come and watch the full film Using this questionnaire really helped me along with my research into other trailers of my genre.

Slide 6:Audience Gratification In this question I asked my audience what would make them watching a film such as to escape; for social interaction; identity; to inform and educate and to entertain. I got them to rank them from one to five five being least and 1 being most. The majority of my audience would watch a film in order to be entertained. This didn’t surprise me as when you go to the cinema you do go to enjoy yourself. The social interaction was also a bit part of this question as a lot of people enjoyed films by being able to connect with other people and get there opinions to other people. I realised that word of mouth is very useful when trying to get people to watch a film. Other people can give there opinions and people will want to watching it.
