Phonemic Awareness: Blending onset and rime; segmenting onset and rime Phonics: Initial Consonant Nn, Compound Words, Syllables and Rhyming Words Comprehension: Conclusions; Character/Setting; Summarize and Evaluate Vocabulary: High Frequency Words Fluency: We will build fluency by rereading familiar text Math We will begin Chapter 5: Plane Shapes and Fractions on Tuesday. Writing We will continue to write personal narratives. We will learn about adding supporting details to our setting. Science We will finish our study of pumpkins. Carefully cut them out (do not cut off code), put in a ziploc bag and bring to school. Halloween Parade Saddleback Elementary will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 31st with a parade at 8:45am. Please send your child to school dressed in his or her costume (optional). Please remember the costume must be appropriate for school. This includes: No weapons, no make-up or face paint. Thank you and have a happy Halloween! Following the parade we will rotate through each kindergarten class to participate in a Halloween activity.
