Other aspects of the legislation are completely new, including the SAT and ACT scores and the automatic admission of children of public servants killed in the line of duty.

Campuses that receive notification of eligibility based on TAKS scores may apply to receive Rider 44 (b) funds to serve students in Grades 4 through 8 beginning Spring 2008.
