Slide 3: Elementary programs include six sequential themes from kindergarten through 5th grade students. Activities build on studies from each preceding grade and prepare students for secondary school and lifelong learning. Slide 4: JA’s middle grade programs help teens make difficult decisions about how to best prepare for their educational and professional future. Programs reinforce the value of workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Students are introduced to many economic concepts and useful facts about the working world. Slide 5: JA’s high school programs help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and fosters skills that will be highly useful in the business world. Programs teach concepts relating to entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness. Slide 6: JA’s Capstone Programs Slide 7: How is JA funded? It costs $500 to bring Junior Achievement into each classroom. Junior Achievement raises money for programs from corporate and individual gifts, grants and special event fundraisers. JA in-classroom programs are free to the schools. Slide 8: The commitment from business and community organizations to recruit volunteers is essential. JA classroom volunteers bring real-life business experience and guidance into the classroom.
