The Wiki’s History The creation of the first wiki website was possible with the creation of the hypertext protocol of the WorldWideWeb, which was in 1991. A man named Ward Cunningham created the first wiki, which he called “WikiWikiWeb”.Wiki is Hawaiian for “quick”. The use of wiki websites was rapidly adopted by communities of free software developers. Wiki are often used to create websites, and to power community websites. Wikis are also used in businesses, Management systems, and even in some schools by teachers.
