Interactive Reading Workshop : Interactive Reading Workshop We’re going to be discussing the skills and strategies you can use for reading with your child. : We’re going to be discussing the skills and strategies you can use for reading with your child. Whatever level your child is at it’s important to have fun! Choose a comfortable place to sit, without siblings, and cuddle up. Slide 11: Never do for kids what they can do for themselves! Child holds the book Child turns the pages Child points or helps point to words Keep the joy in reading - don’t make it a chore you do every night. Also model it yourself.
