A voluntary forum based community of members dedicated to helping Animal Rescues countrywide with various aspects of their work and commitment to animals. The following is just a bit about what we do.

Fundraising : 

Fundraising Animal Lifeline UK holds fundraising events to raise money to help rescues with vets fees, food, toys, bedding etc. This year ALUK held an event which included a duck race, fun dog show, various stalls plus BBQ. Meet the Team.

Transport : 

Transport Many rescues require help with transporting animals from rescue to new home or to foster carers. Animals that are on “death row” in the pounds also need urgent transport to rescues who have offered them a safe place, assessments, health checks etc enabling the animal to be re-homed. ALUK are able to help with the transport requests by contacting members on the forum who are in the area that the transport run is needed.

Home-checking : 

Home-checking ALUK also help rescues with home-checking, especially where the home to be checked is quite a distance away from the rescue. This is to ensure the prospective adopters home is suitable for the animal. ALUK can also help members of the public who wish to re-home their beloved pet through classified adverts etc. Home-checks can be requested by the current owner to ensure their pet is going to a suitable home, e.g. height of fencing.

Fostering : 

Fostering Many animal rescues use foster carers to care for animals who have come into their rescues. Foster carers provide the animal with the stability of a home environment, love, care and attention that they would get from their “forever home”. ALUK have a database of members all across the country, who are able to provide foster care for particular animals.

Re-homing : 

Re-homing If you are looking for a pet, whether it be dog, cat, rabbit, rats etc, come and take a look at the re-homing sections on our forum. Many Animal Rescues advertise the animals looking for a “forever home” on ALUK. These animals have been assessed for suitability with other animals, children etc, have been neutered/spayed, (unless they are too young or have medical reasons) and vaccinated.
