Slide 15: “One of the things we take for granted, time after time, is the possibility to go to a faucet, to turn it on and drink or use the water that comes out of it!” Slide 16: How grateful are we? Slide 17: For many people getting clean water is not an automatic process...... ?Currently it is estimated that more than 430 million people around the globe face water shortages. Women and children have to spend much time and energy fetching drinking water. Slide 18: In semi-arid regions of North Africa and of the Middle East there is not enough water to refill the rivers and replenish the groundwater reserves. Slide 19: Open water holes are sometimes inaccessible and often contaminated. Water for agriculture is scarce with terrible results for crops. Slide 20: Many countries suffer droughts, constant water shortages. Poverty, sanitation problems, illnesses, little or no education, follow as part of their daily routines .... Slide 21: Water......... a precious resource.... For some people every drop matters.... What is easy for US, it is not so easy for THEM!
