OM of 3.10.08-(50% of sum of min. of pay band and G.P) Slide 3: 3 What is denied? S-17-stage 4 onwards (stagnation stage) S-7,8,11 to15,18 to 23-stage 5 onwards S-10-stage 7 onwards S-9- stage 8 onwards Slide 8: 8 Case Studies of S-7,S-11 indicate (slides 9,10): a) The quantum of loss in pension due to the alteration of para 4.2 of the OM of 1.9.08 b) The stages up to which the loss continues Slide 11 will show that all pensioners in scales like S- 29 are denied the pension benefit of para 4.2, due to its modification Slide 12 indicates the quantum jump in pension of S-31 retirees , as the modification of para 4.2 does not affect them Slide 9: 9 Para 4.2 (violet line) is beneficial up to 4th stage Rs.4400. Thereafter 2.26 MF is beneficial Slide 10: 10 Para 4.2 (violet line) is beneficial up to 4th stage.Rs.7100.
