How Does a Man who came out of nowhere, a man with no record of accomplishment and a questionable background become one of the most powerful leaders of the world? 3

A Look at Our Country Today :

A Look at Our Country Today A House, Senate and Executive branch of government controlled by a single party The most liberal President, Vice President, Speaker of the House and Senate Majority Leader to ever serve our nation A media that openly supports the current administration’s radical agenda and makes no attempt to suppress any dissenting viewpoint A failed economy and a growing deficit Sacred institutions and value systems under attack A growing number of young people who are not being taught the same history, economics and political science lessons of previous generations 4

A Perfect Storm :

5 A Perfect Storm These things were not the results of one election. Never have there been so many forces coming from so many different directions, all at the same time. And as these energies collide, they reap far more devastation than any single force is capable of doing on its own.

Slide 6:

What was just described is a Perfect Storm. And that is exactly what we have in Washington today. How did this happen? 6

Community Organizing :

Community Organizing Chicago was the birthplace of a powerful grassroots social movement that changed political activism in this country. Although “Community Organizing” was pioneered by Saul Alinsky in Chicago’s old stockyards neighborhood in the 1930’s, its tactics were used during the Obama campaign and continues to drive his radical agenda. 9

SAUL ALINSKY “I tell people the hell with charity, the only thing you’ll get is what you’re strong enough to get.” “It becomes a contest of power: those who have money and those who have people. We have nothing but people.” 10

Slide 11:

Alinsky believed that widespread poverty left America open to the influence of demagogues and that the only antidote was active, widespread participation in the political process. He envisioned an "organization of organizations," comprised of all sectors of the community - youth committees, small businesses, labor unions and, most influential of all, the Catholic Church. The Democratic Promise: Saul Alinsky and His Legacy (ITVS) 11

“THE BACK OF THE YARDS” Alinsky studied criminal behavior by hanging out with Al Capone and his gang His observation that people could change their lives by changing their surroundings lead to his concept of “Community Organizing” To test his theory, he set up shop in Chicago’s meatpacking neighborhood, known as “The Back of the Yards”, the same wretched, multi-ethnic community that Upton Sinclaire wrote about in his novel “The Jungle” 12

Slide 13:

COMMUNITY ORGANIZING The process by which people living in proximity to each other are brought together in an organization to act in their common self-interest Assumes social change requires conflict and social struggle in order to generate collective power for the powerless Seeks to influence key decision-makers on issues affecting the community 14

INDUSTRIAL AREAS FOUNDATION Founded in 1940 by Saul Alinsky Identify, recruit, train and develop leaders capable of promoting IAF’s cause for social change Mobilize mostly through religious institutions Every action is deliberate, calculated and focused Broad agendas for change, based on local priorities IAF targets opponents and pursues “justice” by creating conflict and confrontation Obama claims he got his “best education” from training he received at IAF in the mid-1980’s 16

ALINSKY: “ORGANIZE FOR POWER” Rules for Radicals (1971) was Alinsky’s manual for organizing to achieve mass power Written for the “have-nots” of society on how to take power away from those who have it Alinsky dedicated his book to the first radical known to man: Lucifer (Satan) Alinsky: “Don’t organize to help others. Organize for power” 17

RULES FOR RADICALS dedicated to the first radical known to man: Lucifer Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions and utilize all events of the period for your purpose. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it. 18

AGITATION At the heart of the Alinsky method is the concept of “agitation” – making someone angry enough about the rotten state of his life that he agrees to take action to change it; or, as Alinsky himself described the job, to “rub raw the sores of discontent.” The Agitator, by Ryan Lizza – 03/09/07 ( 19

Richard Cloward & Frances Piven :

Richard Cloward & Frances Piven Richard Cloward and Frances Piven were Columbia University sociology professors. In 1966, they developed a strategy based on the teachings of Saul Alinsky. Their ultimate goal was to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse. 20

Slide 21:

C-P Strategy for Community Organizing :

C-P Strategy for Community Organizing Organize groups eligible for government benefits Identify new beneficiaries and/or create new benefits Impose new stresses on target systems (welfare, healthcare, immigration, voter rights, education and financial institutions) with ultimate goal of forcing their collapse 22

C-P Strategy for Voter Rights :

C-P Strategy for Voter Rights Register as many Democrat voters as possible, legal or not, and help them vote – multiple times if possible Overwhelm system with fraudulent registrations Lobby for minimal identification standards to make maintaining control difficult 23

Slide 24:

The Cloward-Piven Strategy sought to destroy the welfare system by igniting a political and financial crisis that would cause poor people to revolt. Cloward and Piven believed that those in power used welfare to weaken the poor and that poor people could advance only when the rest of society was afraid of them. 24

Obama/Cloward-Piven Strategy :

Obama/Cloward-Piven Strategy James Simpson is a former White House economist and budget analyst. He published an online article (October, 2008) in The American Thinker titled “Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis.” A flow chart in Simpson’s article attempts to capture the extent of Obama’s connection to the radical left and his involvement with the Cloward-Piven strategy. None of the individuals or groups on the chart are moderate or mildly leftist. They all belong to the anti-American, communist, socialist, radical leftist network. 25

George Soros, founder ofOpen Society Institute Powerful NYC hedge fund manager worth billions OSI funnels money to organizations whose objectives match his left-wing ideology Created “The Shadow Party,” a nation-wide network of unions, non-profit activist groups, and leftist think tanks who raise funds, manipulate the media, and participate in get-out-the-vote drives. One of the key players who helped him with this effort was Hillary Clinton. 27

STUDENTS FOR A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY Founded in 1959 by Aryeh Neier, current President of George Soros’ Open Society Institute Many key SDS members were “red-diaper babies,” children of parents who were Communist Party members Spearheaded Anti-Vietnam War movement and wanted to overthrow America’s democratic institutions in favor of Marxist type government Activities included disrupting ROTC classes and staging draft card burnings After group fell apart, it imploded into other factions such as Weatherman and Marxist New Party 28

Former Mayor NYC Rudy Giuliani :

Former Mayor NYC Rudy Giuliani the By the early 1970’s, one person was on the welfare rolls in NYC for every two working in the private sector. As a result, the city was forced to declare bankruptcy in 1975. The entire state went down with it. During his drive for welfare reform in the late 1990’s, NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani accused the National Welfare Rights Organization of using Cloward and Piven tactics to bring about the economic sabotage that lead to the city’s1975 bankruptcy. Cloward and Piven deliberately targeted areas of government where they saw weaknesses; often using ACORN to implement their strategy for orchestrated crisis. 31

WEATHERMAN After Students for a Democratic Society fell apart, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn founded “Weatherman”—a communist driven, anti-Vietnam War movement responsible for the bombings of the Capitol, Pentagon and NYC Police Department. The group, whose ultimate goal was to overthrow capitalism, used violent action as a means of grabbing the country’s attention. Weatherman took its name from a line in a song: “you don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.” (Subterranean Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan) 35

Weather Underground Organization :

Weather Underground Organization Weatherman went into hiding after a bomb they intended to set off at a local army base dance accidently detonated, killing three of their own members. They became known as The Weather Underground Organization. After several years underground, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn turned themselves in. Due to improper FBI surveillance, they never served any time for their actions. Today, Bill Ayers is a school reform activist and a professor of education at the University of Illinois in Chicago. 36

The Weather Underground’s Communist ManifestoPublished 1974 :

The Weather Underground’s Communist ManifestoPublished 1974 Dedicated to Robert Kennedy’s killer, Sirhan Sirhan, among many other now-obscure 1960’s era radicals, criminals and revolutionaries Openly admits: “We are a guerrilla organization. We are communist women and men, underground in the United States for more than four years.” Planned to seize power in a violent communist takeover of the United States 38

GUILT BY ASSOCIATION Obviously, Obama was never a member of Ayer’s Weather Underground, but when he ran for the Illinois State Senate, Ayers hosted a meeting in his home to introduce the candidate to his neighbors When questioned about his association with Ayers, he was quick to say that they served on the Chicago Annenberg Challenge together – which was initiated by Walter Annenberg, former Ambassador to Great Britain (appointed by President Nixon) Ayers “hijacked” the CAC and used it to push his radical public school agenda 39

WALTER ANNENBERG Ambassador and Mrs. Walter Annenberg with President Reagan Respected billionaire publisher, philanthropist and diplomat Publications include TV Guide, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Seventeen Magazine Appointed as Ambassador to Great Britain by President Nixon Good friends with President and Mrs. Reagan Established Chicago Annenberg Challenge to reform public school system in Chicago 40

CARL DAVIDSON Anti-War Activist and Marxist New Party Member with ties to Cuba New Party’s goal was to gain control of the Democratic Party in order to implement socialism in America Practiced “electoral fusion”, which allowed a candidate to simultaneously run on two tickets, until it was banned by Supreme Court When New Party folded, members created new group: “Progressives for Obama” 42
