PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION : 

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION IMPLUSE TURBINE STEAM FLOWS THROUGH THE FIXED NOZZLE ONLY (EXPANSATION TAKE PLACE IN FIXED NOZZLE).THE HIGH PRESSURE STEAM IS CONVERTED INTO KINECTIC ENERGY. HIGH VELOCITY STEAM IMPINCHES ON BLADE THEN CONVERTED IN TO MECHANICAL WORK.THEN THE PRESSURE FALLS EQUAL TO THE CONDENSER PRESSURE. REACTION TURBINE PESSURE DROP OCCURS BOTH THE MOVING AND FIXED BLADE WITH STEAM ACCELERATING THE THROUGH STATOR AND DECELERATINGTHROUGH THE ROTOR WITH NO NET CHANGE IN STEAM VELOCITY ACROSS THE STAGE BUT WITH A DECREASE IN BOTH PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE.
