ENROLLMENT TIME 4-H Year : September 1 to August 31 Green County 4-H has an “open enrollment policy” which means members can join at any time during the year and receive “most” benefits Dates to remember: Re-enrollment: September through the end of October New Families can join by February and still participate at Green County Fair. All re-enrolling families must join by the end of October to keep in good standing

New Volunteer Orientation Process where Adults get certified as VOLUNTEERS in the 4-H program. Adults must attend a training Fill out an application to be a 4-H volunteer Fill out a leader enrollment form and adult expectation agreement Adult Leaders are invaluable to the 4-H program as they help lead and train our young people in so many ways! Receive reduced priced fair admission tickets to the Green County Fair Are covered under the Green County Liability Coverage agreement Building Youth/Adult Partnerships

Creative Communication Celebration & Performing Arts Festival : 

Creative Communication Celebration & Performing Arts Festival Creative Communications Celebration – Held the end of March – Green County 4-H’s Speaking Contest! Green County 4-H Performing Arts Festival – Held the third Sunday in April in Juda – youth can sing, dance, play an instrument, clown and mime! Top Music and Skits go to WI State Fair!

Fair Entries – Due in May Green County Entry Forms and Books will be handed out at your MAY 4-H meetings. These are due back to your general leader in May as each 4-H Club and FFA Chapter turn in entries per club/chapter. Members can only exhibit in project they have enrolled in for the Jr. Fair. ME FORMS/ME INTERVIEWS Forms to complete to earn 4-H Trips and Awards~ Youth in grade 6 and above are eligible for 4-H sponsored trip opportunities!!!! Forms are available online, from your general leader or the UWEX Office. How to apply? Complete an application and participate in a short interview Results are announced at the 4-H County Awards Program in October Green County 4-H Adult Leaders and Junior Leaders help defray costs to they are minimal to the participant! Great way to meet other 4-H youth from other counties, states or nations!

NATIONAL 4-H CONGRESS HELD IN ATLANTA, GA in late November Open to Grades10 and above! Participate in planning for 4-H’s future and yourself as a leader!

NATIONAL 4-H CONFERENCE 5 youth from the state of WI are selected to travel to Washington D.C. in March and stay at the National 4-H Headquarters Meet your national legislators, other 4-H members from across the nation and enjoy the sights of Washington D.C.!
