Assessment Bias :

Assessment Bias Cultural validity Student values, beliefs, experiences, communication patterns, learning styles and socioeconomic conditions all shape the ways in which students make sense of items and respond to them. We must take into consideration the fact that standardized tests are normed against a sample of test takers who are supposed to be representative of the population of the students who take the same exam. Often the samples include limited numbers of ELLs nationwide.
