Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: STEPS Study on TEchnology’s impact in Primary Schools EUN Steering Committee February 2008 Our ICT Impact Report had an impact : Our ICT Impact Report had an impact Key findings highlight primary school ICT success : Key findings highlight primary school ICT success “ICT impacts on educational performance in primary schools, particular in English ICT improves attainment levels of children 7-16 in the first language, in science and in design and technology, particularly in primary schools ICT allows for greater differentiation (especially in primary schools), with programmes tailored to individual pupils’ needs Primary teachers consider ICT to have more impact than secondary teachers” Issues highlighted : Issues highlighted “Many of the findings relate to the UK. They are mostly in English. There are gaps in what is known about other countries. To what extent are results transferable or are they contextually dependent?
