Got divorced when her husband came back from the service
Had one son raised as a single mother
Worked as a secretary
Loved art and painting

She thought when painters screw up they just paint over it so why not just paint over her typing mistakes
Using her kitchen blender she mixed up some tempera water-based paint, tinting it to match her company stationery

The bank fired her, which was a blessing for her
Her company grew quickly and before long she was selling about 100 bottles a month
She renamed the product “liquid paper”
The “office” mentioned her product and the next thing you know her company was blooming

A year later the company’s net earnings where
$ 1.5 million and the product was being sold in 31 countries
