With the internet it is accessible to anyone. Now we learn from the internet the same way we learn from books Slide 3: Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 3 but in which direction? This is development, E-learning has several flaws, some are : Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 4 E-learning has several flaws, some are It is Costly to Produce It requires new skills Minimal social interaction Affordability Lack of focus Effect on eyes It is Costly to Produce : Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 5 It is Costly to Produce E-learning costs more to develop due to the advanced technology needed to run it, especially if visually rich content is used. It requires new skills : Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 6 It requires new skills The older generations find it difficult to operate the internet, and thus making E-learning frustrating, confusing and overwhelming. Minimal social interaction : Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 7 Minimal social interaction The lack of face-to-face interaction, may make the user secluded in society. Learner must be very responsible to keep up with the learning schedule Affordability : Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 8 Affordability Not everyone is able to afford the technology needed (computer, software, and hardware) to make e-learning work. Lack of focus : Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 9 Lack of focus The internet is a vast place, and it’s challenging not to get distracted by the other lures Effect on eyes : Ammar Ali 088418 Gr. 03 10 Effect on eyes Prolonged exposure to a computer screen is likely to damage the vision of the user.
