History: 1965 – fifty states in the USA had banned abortions 1973 – Roe Vs. Wade case stated that anti-abortion laws were unconstitutional Christmas day 1984 – 3 abortion clinics in the USA were bombed Abortion is now a touchy subject in political debates

Facts: In 2001, women obtained 106,418 abortions which is 1% higher from 2000 (105, 427) In 2001, the rate of abortion was 15.4 per 1000 women Induced abortions are most common amongst women in their 20’s

James Charles Kopp Accomplices: Loretta Mara and Dennis Malvasi helped him evade justice on a number of occasions Charged of second-degree murder and is serving 25 years – life in prison He also shot 3 Canadian Abortion Doctors in 1997, and was charged by Canadian authorities

Why Some People are Pro-Choice A Woman should be able to control her own body Why bring a child into the world if you know you can’t take care of it? ( Eg . Mental Illness) More sexual education to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Women realise that they aren’t physically or mentally ready for a baby Accidental pregnancy
