The Colosseum and Roman Forum :The Colosseum is probably the most famous landmark in Rome. Built in the 1st century AD, this great arena could seat 45,000 spectators and was the largest Roman amphitheater in the world. The Roman Forum (Latin: Forum Romanum), sometimes known by its original Latin name, is located between the Palatine hill and the Capitoline hill of the city of Rome. Piazza Navona :Piazza Navona Piazza Navona is one of the most ancient and full of history places in Rome. The Piazza has its lenghtened shape because it resamples the route of a Roman stadium here built by emperor Domitian. Unlike amphitheatres as Colosseum, in the stadiums were not held gladiators' fights but sports competitions on the model of Greek Olimpyc games.
