Historical Impact : 

Historical Impact History of world creation (islands are made on hot spots) Market/Travel Historically important countries (Japan is an archipelago)

Economic Impact : 

Economic Impact Travel Vacation spots Cruise destinations People live there year-round They need a market, and trade/exporting/importing

Socio-Cultural : 

Socio-Cultural When going to any of these archipelagos, you will find a different experience and social atmosphere Going from Rindge, NH to the Bahamas or Japan will give you two totally different cultures and social experiences
