Slide 2: 

The purpose of the learning experience for my students is to be able to recognize and to recite the equation for photosynthesis. Students will be able to recite the phrase: Carbon dioxide and water in the presence of chlorophyll and sunshine will make glucose and oxygen In addition, when given 4 equations, students will choose the equation for photosynthesis.

Assessment : 

Assessment Students will be asked to recite the photosynthesis equation to the class or to the teacher. Students will be asked to choose the correct photosynthesis equation from a field of four equations. The students will choose to recite the equation to teacher “privately” (where prompting could occur) or to the class. The similarity of the equations will be varied depending on the needs of the student. Adaptations for Assessment

Skinner and Operant Conditioning : 

Skinner and Operant Conditioning Changes in behavior are the result of an individual's response to events (stimuli) that occur in the environment. When a particular Stimulus-Response is reinforced (rewarded), the individual is conditioned to respond in a certain way. Reinforcement is the key element in Skinner's S-R theory. In my learning experience, students will be rewarded for the correct response.

Carroll and Minimalism : 

Carroll and Minimalism Minimalist theory is based upon studies of people learning to use a diverse range of computer applications including word processing, databases, and programming. It has been extensively applied to the design of computer documentation. http://tip.psychology.org/carroll.html In my lesson, I am taking the idea that less is more! I will be giving each student five cards instead of five pages of text.
