Global warming :Global warming Global Warming is an important ecological issue and has many negative effects upon our environment. Global Warming, or what has been called the Greenhouse effect, is the result of a fourfold ecological process.
1-Sunlight radiates from the sun, through space, to Earth’s atmosphere
2- The sunlight enters the atmosphere and hits Earth. Some of it turns into heat energy in the form of infrared light. The heat gets absorbed by surrounding air and land, which in turn makes it warm.
3- Infrared rays, that are remitted into the atmosphere are trapped by greenhouse gases.
4- The gas then absorbs the light and is remitted back to the Earth’s surface and warms it even more. Left on it's own this natural process keeps our planet warm enough for habitation, but with the increases in temperature, caused by modern industry, our current way of life could become threatened.
What is global warming ?? :What is global warming ?? Global warming is an increase in the earth's temperature due to fossil fuels, industry, and agricultural processes caused by human, natural, and other gas emissions. (Melissa Phillips). This results in an increased emission of greenhouse gases. (Caroline Quatman). Short-wave solar radiation sinks into the Earth's atmosphere and warms its surface; while longwave infrared radiation emitted by earth's surface is absorbed, and then re-emitted by trace gases. (Brent C. Willhoite) Climate changes occur in our earth's atmosphere due to a buildup of greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases can occur naturally as well as a result of human activities. (Melissa Phillips). Problems can occur when higher concentrations of greenhouse gases are present in our atmosphere because they have enhanced our earth's heat trapping capability. (Anne Rector). There are many misconceptions about global warming. Some believe that pollution causes global warming, but the fact is global warming is the result of burning fossil fuels, coal, and oil that release carbon dioxide
GREEN HOUSE EFFECT?? :Our world is suffering, and it is suffering from something people call the "Greenhouse" effect. The greenhouse effect is caused by humans over pollution of the earth. If we do not stop this soon the earth will "die". Â Â Â Â Â We have caused this over many years of over industrialization in this growing world. We think that bigger is better, so we make vehicles bigger and better, and we make pretty much everything else bigger as well. So we make larger factories to build these larger things, and these larger factories release larger amounts of pollution. GREEN HOUSE EFFECT??
WHAT IS GREEN HOUSE ?? :WHAT IS GREEN HOUSE ?? First, to understand what the greenhouse effect is, we must first understand what a Greenhouse is.??
A Greenhouse is a building made either of clear plastic sheets, or of glass. The sun's rays go through the glass, and heat up the air inside the building, and they have a hard time getting out. These rays get trapped inside the building, and continually heat the air inside, and even through the night the rays stay in and heat the air.
The greenhouse is also called a "HOT HOUSE" because it gets so hot.
The illeffects of Global Warming ?? :The illeffects of Global Warming ?? Global warming, professionally also called the climate change represents nowadays a critical global issue posing a serious potential threat. This simply means that the average temperature of our planet is slowly rising. This however is not due to the natural causes as it was in the past but due to people and their activities, which permit the so-called greenhouse gases to be emitted into the atmosphere.
This has already taken its toll in terms of altering the weather and subsequently the conditions of the whole planet and might also have consequences for the future. Therefore this essay will, in the next few sections explore the impacts that global warming had had upon our planet thus far as well as attempting to propose some solutions on how to reduce the global warming effects in the future energy…..
Slide 12:As mentioned previously, global warming is caused mainly by human activities and particularly by transport, chemical industry and producing.
Pollution in our world is leading to increased Global Warming. This Global Warming is a problem that if it doesn’t effect us, it will effect all future generations to come. Global Warming is a problem that all of us can solve, and it should be solved through the work of our community. The Global Warming Problem is a big problem.
Global Warming is caused by the Greenhouse Effect. The Greenhouse effect causes the sun’s rays to come in the earth’s atmosphere, and when it bounces back, more and more of the sun’s rays stay in the Earth……
Illeffects of greenhouse effect :Greenhouse gasses cause the addition of the Greenhouse Effect. Greenhouse Gasses cause an increase in the Greenhouse Effect. Greenhouse Gasses are created whenever a fossil fuel is burned. It is not the burning of the fossil fuel, but the emissions of the gas from the burning fossil fuel that adds to the Greenhouse Effect. Greenhouse Gasses in this planet are natural, but with added amounts of Greenhouse Gasses, the Greenhouse Effect gets much stronger.. Illeffects of greenhouse effect
Solutions to Global Warming :Solutions to Global Warming There are many solutions to reduce the amount of green house gases in the atmosphere, which causes Global Warming.
A main culprit for global warming is the use of CFC's (chlorofluorocarbons). If the use of CFC's was reduced, the number of greenhouse gases will be reduced by a great deal (however there are many other thing that cause dramatic amounts of greenhouse gases including carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide).
The items that contain CFC's are regular house hold items, but they can have a devastating effect on the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Slide 16:They are found in aerosols, plastic foam and fridges.
However now that the scientists have a greater knowledge on the effect of CFC's the government had banned the selling of objects with CFC's in; and also great care is needed when disposing of older items containing CFC's e.g. fridges. CFC's are 40 times more effective as a greenhouse gas then carbon dioxide.
So reducing the amount of CFC's used will have a good effect on the atmosphere...
