Since January 1, 2001, till April 1 2012, The patrol police hot line has received 3850 notifications concerning domestic conflicts or violence. In 275 cases police has issued deterring warrants which were violated in 7 cases. On domestic violence, 185 cases were registered in 2011 by the MoIA Information Center. As it was figured out, during 2010-2011, most frequently, domestic conflicts happen between husbands and wives, parents and their children and netween unregistered couples. The matters provoking such conflicts are alcohol abuse, jealousy and unresolved property issues. Several persons were participants of domestic conflicts for more then 4 times, every time the have received either verbal or written warnings, because their family members were against of issuing deterring warrants against the initiators of conflicts. In some particular cases, individuals are unjustifiably opposing the issuing either police or court warrants against offenders as they don’t want their family members to be the subject of administrative or criminal record (which is their perception due to lack of knowledge), not the fact. This fact prevents effective management of domestic conflicts and violence as well as leaves possibilities for further escalations.
