Introduction Home Introduction Tasks Process Evaluation Conclusion Teachers Your Mission for today is to learn a little bit more about us t he meat eaters!! The quest for the day is to find out all the things we eat.

Task:

Task Venus Flytrap Students will research all carnivorous plants and their features. Students will make Venus flytrap puppets out of paper plates. A daily journal will be kept from each group to log the growth and care of the classes Venus Flytrap Home Introduction Tasks Process Evaluation Conclusion Teachers

Process:

P rocess Home Introduction Tasks Process Evaluation Conclusion Teachers 1. Form groups of 4 and create a Venus Flytrap puppet based on the students research. Students will gather information about the characteristics, growth, and what it eats. Each group will develop a daily journal of the Venus Flytrap from planting it until fully grown. Each group will present their journal to the class with fully animated drawings of the plants growth. Throughout the 7 week period each group will gather research of each characteristic they motioned before. Progress should be shown throughout the journal

Introduction Home Introduction Standards Process Resources Evaluation Conclusion The Web Quest I’ve created will give students a closer look at different types of plants, carnivorous plants are the focus of this activity Students will form groups to gather information through research about the Venus Flytrap and other carnivorous plants

SC.F.1.2.2: The student knows how all animals depend on plants. SC.F.1.2.2.1: understands the various ways that animals depend on plants for survival (for example, food, shelter, oxygen). SC.F.1.2.3: The student knows that living things are different but share similar structures. SC.F.1.2.3.3: understands that although plants and animals are different, they also share common characteristics (for example, they both have structures for reproduction, respiration, and growth).
