The concept Suicide Suicide is an intentional act of self infliction resulting in death which can be regarded as a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

An insight into the Issue In the last 50 years suicide rates have increased by 60% worldwide Statistics show that every five minutes, someone, somewhere in India , attempts suicide, making suicide the seventh major cause of death Mental health disorders (particularly depression and substance abuse) are associated with more than 90% of all cases of suicide

Youth suicide in India Nearly 30% of all suicides worldwide occur in India and China Suicide rates among young people have been increasing in an alarmed rate Suicide is now among the three leading causes of death among those aged 15-44 (male and female) Suicide attempts are up to 20 times more frequent than completed suicides The leading cause of death in the age-group 10–19 years is suicide
