New pattern for paper III : 

The UGC-NET will be conducted in objective mode from June 2012 onwards. The candidates are required to obtain minimum marks separately in Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III The syllabi of Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III will remain the same. The candidates will be allowed to carry the carbon printout of OMR Response Sheets with them on conclusion of the examination. There will be no negative marking. How to Study : 

Convert syllabus into topics General paper – 10 topics Commerce paper II ( 122 topics) Optional ( any one) 10 to 15 topics) Thoroughly study the entire syllabus and understand each topic. Write MCQ type questions for each topic General paper I - at least 50 questions on each topic Commerce paper II - at least 20 questions on each topic Commerce paper III - at least 20 questions on each topic of all optional (at least - 50 questions on each topic of any one alternative.) New pattern is easy or tough? : 

Good things- Earlier there was no guarantee that you will pass this examination. But now there is a guarantee. Micro study of each topic is needed Presentation or writing skill is not required. Results will be available in time. More number of Marathi medium students would appear for net exam. Bad things- Percentage of passing will increase. Scope for copying and other mal-practices.
