Solar SystemSun: Sun The Sun is by far the largest object in the solar system. It contains more than 99.8% of the total mass of the Solar System (Jupiter contains most of the rest).Mercury: Mercury The Planet Mercury is the closest planet to our sun and is the smallest planet in the solar system. It is named after a roman god.Venus: Venus The Planet Venus is the second closest planet to the sun and it is located between our Earth and Mercury. It is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty .Earth: Earth a large unit of land or water containing a geographically distinct assemblage of species, natural communities, and environmental conditions.Mars: Mars Mars is the god of War. The planet probably got this name due to its red color; Mars is sometimes referred to as the Red Planet.Jupiter: Jupiter Jupiter was the king of the gods in Roman mythology a fitting name for the largest of the planets .Saturn: Saturn Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the Solar System, after Jupiter. It is named after the Roman god Saturn.Uranus: Uranus The Planet Uranus is the third largest planet in the solar system, is a Gas Giant and is the seventh planet from the sun. Planet Uranus has rings like Planet Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune.Neptune: Neptune The planet Neptune was discovered on Sept. 23, 1836. Neptune was the first planet to get its existence predicted by mathematical calculations before it was actually seen by a telescope.Pluto: Pluto Pluto orbits beyond the orbit of Neptune (usually) and it is much smaller than any of the official planets and now classified as a "dwarf planet". Pluto is smaller than seven of the solar system's moons.PowerPoint Presentation: Made By Ritagya & SimranPowerPoint Presentation: Class - V School - S.M.V.
