Hollowing the obturator Second Technique: During waxing, 4 mm of wax is adapted in the defect area to allow for future correction without perforation of the processed acrylic The defect is filled with clay and a layer of tin foil, which prevent adhesion between the wax and clay. A wax led is burnished over the tin foil. The wax led is processed separately into acrylic. The clay and tin foil are removed The obturator and the led are processed separately. The acrylic led is fixed to the base with self cure resin.
