One would need to put all these skills together to make expression of a vision that both meets as well as exceed the user’s expectations. A designer should be well aware of the medium and the environment she works in. It is important to make quality, user centric design decisions by considering several factors that include design , architecture , development, usability and accessibility. Not being knowledgeable enough about what one is deciding can have grave impact on the outcome of the product . I t is this belief of mine that compels me to evaluate every design recommendation from a technical feasibility point of view. I hope to be able to look at the bigger picture while developing a product and bring in my knowledge from the realms of both Usability Sciences as well as Computer S cience to make more convincing experiences for users.

5 Business Analytics Visualization . 25 Business Analytics at SAP INFO In my present work, I lead the design and User Experience efforts within the Business Analytics Solutions team at SAP. Our products are primarily built on the BobJ BI 4.0 platform. My challenges include working with the implementation limitations of Business Objects products like Xcelsius (for analytical dashboards), Webi (for analytical reports) and Explorer.
