NABARD’s Vision and Mission: 

NABARD’s Vision and Mission Vision To facilitate sustained access to financial services for the unreached poor in rural areas through various micro Finance innovations in a cost effective and sustainable manner . Mission By the end of year 2015, we have planned to link nearly 9.2 crore households which would ensure coverage of more than 50% women through SHG Bank linkage programme.

NABARD sanctioned Rs. 50.56 cr loan for Bihar bridge projects Funded by RIDF Construction of 9 bridge in Purnia and 4 bridge in Darbhanga. Expected to benefit 110 villages and also generate non-recurring employment of 22.61 laklh man days NABARD has sanctioned a loan of Rs 42.46 crore under the RIDF XVII to the Gujarat Government for construction of warehouses.

CONTRACT FARMING: 

CONTRACT FARMING 100% refinance to disbursements made by CBs, SCBs, RRBs and selected SCARDBs (having net NPA less than 5%) Refinance support extended for contract farming to various financing agencies during 2004-05 and 2005-06 was to the tune of Rs.774 crore and Rs.268 crore respectively. Impact The arrangement is beneficial to both the farmer and the company The major benefits accruing to the farmer are – quality inputs, technical guidance, assured market and price. There is an enhanced farm productivity & income. It is implemented in 2 districts of Bihar i.e. Ara and Munger

Integrated Watershed Development in South Bihar: 

Integrated Watershed Development in South Bihar NABARD submitted the ‘Integrated Watershed Development of South Bihar’ project which was approved by Committee on Rastriya Sam Vikas Yojana on 12 August 2004. Project outlay of Rs.60 crore The programme envisages development of 80,000 ha. of degraded land in Jamuai, Banka, Gaya, Nawada, Munger, Aurangabad, Bhabua and Rohtas district in South Bihar.
