Early Years Thomas Edison was born on Feb. 11, 1847
In 1854, his family moved to the vibrant city of Port Huron, Michigan.
At age seven, Edison was taken out of school and home-schooled by his mother for the rest of his childhood.

All of Edison’s companies were brought together under the name of Edison General Electric.
When competition against other companies increased, Edison was dropped from the name in 1892.
Personal Life :
Personal Life In 1872, Thomas Edison married Mary Stilwell.
They had three children Marion, Thomas, and Wilson.
In 1886, two years after Mary Stilwell died, Edison married Mina Miller.
