An Inventor and Pioneer Les Paul was a major contributor to modern day recording and music He invented multi-track recording Solid body electric guitars Delay and phasing guitar effects This all made modern day rock and roll possible.

Artist and Musician : 

Artist and Musician Les Paul was an extremely talented jazz guitarist and song writer Early in his career he was inspired by Django Reindheart, a talented guitarist His career led him to play with many talented musicians such as Nat King Cole,Bing Crosby, the Andrews sisters and many others

Recording Innovations: 

Recording Innovations Les made many contributions to the recording of music He developed multi-track recording which allows an artist to record separate tracks at different times to acquire the desired sound for the recording

Guitar Builder: 

Guitar Builder Les Paul was the father of the solid body electric guitar, which opened up a whole new range of sounds for his time and led the way to rock and roll with his signature model guitar named after him, the Gibson Les Paul

Hit Singles Paul recorded countless hit singles throughout his career, with three number 1 hits in the US, and others in the UK.

Personal Life: 

Personal Life In 1954 Paul met country singer Colleen Summers. They began working together in 1948 when she adopted the name Mary Ford. They married in 1949 after which they recorded several hits together.

Achievements and Awards: 

Achievements and Awards In 1988, Paul was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Jeff Beck. In 2003, Les was ranked as #46 on Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” In 1979, Paul and Ford's 1951 recording of "How High the Moon" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Death : 

Death On August 12, 2009 Paul died of complications from pneumonia in white plains New York His legend lives on as Les Paul is now a household name throughout the world for his great achievements in music and recording
