Destructive Effects of Familial Disunion:

Destructive Effects of Familial Disunion By Sheikh Habib Al-Kathemy

1:

1 Familial disunion is one of the problems that concerned modern societies. It is a result of the more complicated daily life, to the point that made the individual interested only in getting out of his own problems, forgetting problems of the people surrounding him, let alone other people.

2:

2 The feeling of the individual that he is an existence cut off from his roots and familial connections; is one of the causes for loneliness and alienation feeling. This latter, by his turn, would provide the suitable conditions for the individual to search for the first emotional shelter he can lean on, even if it was against religion and logic. This is true with some girls that live the lack of sympathy and compassion in their families, which makes it easy to seduce them by the first smile.

3:

3 Emigration outside one’s homeland is one of the causes of gradual forgetting about belonging to his original family, hence involving in the consequences of breaking up with it, a reason that would lead to Divine hate, lack of wealth, shortening in the age, and other things mentioned in the Holly Hadeeths . It is clear that one’s concern about his remote family, while he doesn’t need them, is one form of achieving the case of sincerity, which will open the door for endless blessings in the life.

4:

4 There is no doubt that marriage is a reason to completing one’s half of his religion, and feeling of psychological settlement. Therefore, he has to thank God for this blessing by not forgetting the favor of his family’s nurture for him though all his pre-marriage life. Some people detach themselves from their surroundings and their responsibilities toward them, as soon as they build a new nest for their own.

5:

5 Another reason of familial disunion: is the lack of compassion and intimacy among the members of one family. So the family would turn from a human group to something like a group of cattle, sharing no emotion but gathering for food, drinking and shelter. One cause for this lack is the sins that keep the individual from inward attraction, whether between him and Almighty God or between him and other people. And this is felt by experience and sentiment.

6:

6 One cause for familial union: is the continuous presence of the husband and the farther in the home environment. Continuous absence from the home and involving in his own pleasures would lead him to loose the gravity of leadership in the house, and turn to a mere financer [finance supplier] for the family without having any breeding role.

7:

7 The man’s familiarity with stranger women outside the house, in talking to and looking at them, is amongst the causes of making little of his own wife. And it is clear that such emotional turning away would not be a secret for long time, and naturally this would break up familial relationships, especially with devils (human or jinni) trying to stimulate suspicions and mistrusts.

8:

8 One of the major disadvantages of familial disunion: is not correcting some of the destructive faults in the family – like the son’s looking at what is forbidden by the doctrine – when every member of the family would take his way without being monitored by others. In opposite, the case of harmony and union in the family would be a cause for success in fulfilling His Almighty saying: {and exhort one another to truth and exhort one another to endurance}

9:

9 The comprehensive solution for all social and psychological problems starts from having the right and conscious vision towards this life’s philosophy. It is known that mental rectification leads to behavioral rectification. In our case, looking at others as subjects of the Divine Master, having their rights that would be questioned about in the day after, would keep us from neglecting the rights of any man we are connected with in a relationship, big or small. Let us reflect His Almighty saying: { Be careful of your duty toward Allah in Whom ye claim (your rights) of one another, and toward the kinships [cognation]} . Let us take this as a start point for establishing a relationship based on God- fearingness in addition to human intimacy. Resource: http://www.alseraj.net/23/?simple&1045509832
